FAQ

  • Who's your mob?

I’m a Kamilaroi woman, with historical family ties to Walgett, Moree, and Coonamble. I was born and raised off-Country, on Yuggera, Jagera & Ugarapul land.

  • Where's my order?

If you have any issues regarding your order please do not hesitate to send me an email. I will do my best to respond in a timely matter. Please do take into consideration that I work full-time, run this business, live with a chronic illness, and am studying a Masters degree - I deeply appreciate your patience!

I will endeavour to send your parcel within 7 days of your order being placed. If this does not occur, you will be notified (as I deeply value clear & regular communication). However, once it is shipped, delivery timeframes are out of my control, and are within the domain of Australia Post.

  • Do you do commissions?

While I am happy to yarn about commission pieces, I do not currently have a specified commission schedule, so I cannot guarantee that I am able to complete all commission requests. However, I’m very open to having a yarn over email about what I may be able to achieve for you.

  • Can I buy your pieces in real life?

Due to my schedule, I am unfortunately unable to attend markets. However, I am actively looking into collaborating with local businesses in the Tulmur (Ipswich) and Meanjin (Brisbane) areas, in hopes of having my art available in bricks-and-mortar establishments.

If you are a business and would like to collaborate please contact me via email at kc.rae.artist@gmail.com

  • What's your cost structure?

To ensure I keep pieces affordable, while still covering my labour and overheard costs, and respecting the cultural significance of my work, I use a straight-forward and formulaic cost of goods structure, which ensures I also have the ability to donate a percentage of proceeds to various charities of importance.

  • What charities do proceeds go towards?

Each financial quarter a different charity will receive a percentage of proceeds from Kc Rae Aboriginal Artist sales. By approaching this quarterly, I hope a wider scope of donations can be supported. Donations will primarily focus on charities supporting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, children, domestic and family violence victim-survivors, and LGBTQIA+ people.
